Total Coronavirus Cases In India At 169, Four Deaths Confirmed
The fourth coronavirus-related death has been confirmed in India, according to the health ministry’s website. Total number of cases have rose to 169 on Thursday.
This includes the four deaths and 14 people cured or discharged. The most recent death was in Punjab, which has reported two positive cases so far. More details on the patient are awaited.
The other three persons who have died were in Delhi, Karnataka and Maharashtra. While a 76-year-old man from Kalaburagi, who had recently returned from Saudi Arabia, died on March 12, a 68-year-old woman in Delhi, who had tested positive for the novel virus, died at the Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital on March 13. A 64-year-old patient died at Mumbai’s Kasturba hospital on March 17.
